Amy Le Ann Richardson is a writer, educator, and organizer based on her family farm in Kentucky. She is the author of three poetry collections, including Out of Places (Pine Row Press), editor of the forthcoming anthology Rooted, Resilient, Rising: Women Growing Food across the Mountains (University Press of Kentucky), and her work appears in many journals. She is the founder and director of Bloodroot Young Writers Collective, co-founder of the Appalachian Literary Arts Festival, and is an inaugural National Arts Futures Fellow. She holds an MFA from Spalding University and has received Kentucky Foundation for Women grants supporting her work.
