Humanity’s Truth: A Ghazal 

The howl of wind on a winter’s night reminds
love is a tapestry woven through with the thread of loneliness.

As one or together, we travel through time: longer, longest, longings,
singing ambient and catchy laments with the hook of loneliness.

From humble origins to dream rooms, each breath’s confessions
draws oxygen out of the vast invisible vacuum called loneliness.

Generations stare into the central void, plundering, pondering,
blind eyes tear at anguished serenades of sentimental loneliness!

Your undoing is my undoing, reading tea leaves, drinking desires, 
seeking shortest route out of this infernal quagmire of deep loneliness.

Tender touch denied unleashes desperation as new normal,
killing our darlings under worn guise of despondent loneliness.

Moon masks sun and blackness ensues, revelries expose this:
what’s revealed when eclipse is disrobed – an aching naked loneliness.
