Bless you for the leaving I don't remember the pain as much as I remember the cavity; the endless gushing; how I had to lay pads in my underwear d o u b l e t h i c k to soak up all the could have been. Nothing helped or eased the cramps or stopped the tears (mostly of relief), although spooning an electric heating pad was at least comforting, how my body cradled it like a baby; how the days labored by s l o w l y until eventually, everything stilled.
