Crescendo

Warm life-blood pumps
through her veins.
Muscles dance to the
electrical impulses
flitting through her body.

The sleek oil glides liquid-smooth
through the engine.
The car swerves around the mountain pass
selling its metallic soul
in the moonlight.

Waves of molten metal
unleash a crescendo:
Red and white jagged sculptures
desecrate the cliff.
