12/1/2018 Inside a Raspberry by Jeremy Radin /Ana/ CC Inside a Raspberry for seventy years / we slept / inside a raspberry / feet plaited together / warm as dog breath / we collected our snorings / built a child / she slept between us / dreaming of a barn / a scarlet sturgeon / swimming in the air / the walls of the raspberry / tiny rubies / when I scream in the car / at the wallet I’ve forgotten / at the hands of the body / that obeyed the forgetting / when I tear the small hairs / out of my heart / & braid a rope / & make a loop / I try to remember / what hasn’t happened yet / with my brain / which is shaped like a raspberry / or an animal / that has washed up on shore / & is small / & is god / & is shivering Jeremy Radin is a poet, actor, and teacher.
