Loneliness Is Not A Position of Strength

It’s a one-car crash, one-armed 
     crab 
                    blinking teardrop eyes.

Water lily in need of frog.  Fog 
              enveloping your hand.

Wrench without grip, 
       stripped.  Seed 
                                         that can’t crack 
its husk. 

         Invisible moon waiting 
                                                 for night. 
                            Shadow 
seeking shape 
                                          to block 
              the light.
