Nelson Sarah Altendorf CC the red meal king of suits combining house and forest and waking at lake time lurking for days before there was a dream on the log you know the seal of bees the kindness machine I’m a real meat machine I see the world thru meatball eyes the cave-dwelling rabbits on the moon the fox is waiting until it is time to eat them mud heck was over by the time there was a thin crust blasting ants with the sonics needing help from one end to the other how much for the planet and the little moon, too? this is the home of the wasp who reads newspapers I wore a pair of running shoes until they ran away sea pea salamander hats needed the open door welcomes you the ghost wood with that yes from the back of the room the good forest watching the beehive with good, clean glasses I was cleaning up and down the wall a damaged face of the diamond moon knuckle twerp is a hip opera of the noun sounds the unlit meadow at dawn when it’s too dark to be a lion wow is the space face of the random sam the wild foot becomes the head and all of the later wheels J. D. Nelson experiments with words in his subterranean laboratory. More than 1,500 of his poems have appeared in many small press and underground publications, worldwide, since 2002.
