SNOW GLOBE I remember my best friend had a sister sunshine sparks glitter mason jars a flitter with dime-store dinosaurs stuck to the cap with tar most beautiful the more violently you shake prismatic prison break glint splinters get under your skin lingering with unexpected cuts thick ichor gushes out impossible to clean up transfixed now extinct Lisa was stabbed 21 times on her 16th birthday I remember at her funeral they say she loved poetry suddenly erased graced with immortality divinity on a page in the plink of keen glass shards I hear the crinkle of footsteps on fresh fallen snow when I squint with enough pressure to create diamonds solar flares ignite rainbows from a prism KLYNT defies labels and lives between boundaries.
