Waiting for a train For Jeff Weddle The trains on 16 St. used to put me to sleep when I was young back when I thought life was better just out of town adventure and women and what ever else I wanted was waiting out there past the box cars and hobo jungles just past the city boundaries and State line back when those trains could cross oceans cross time cross class lines and all the unwritten boundaries of my high school back when the train whistle was a message saying just hang in there for awhile longer better things are coming. Matthew Borczon is a poet and writer from Erie, Pa. He has published ten books of poetry the most recent being Ghost Highway Blues through Alien Buddha press.
