THE AWAKENING It happens so quick—The Change, opened eyes. I wasn’t prepared, yet knew of its fate. When it comes don’t be scared, something births, something dies. The pains of the loss might come with the whys, Remember great things come to those who wait. It happens so quick—The Change, opened eyes. Some chase their youth, afraid of age and the sighs. Yet it comes nonetheless, early or late. When it comes don’t be scared, something births, something dies. You cannot out swim the strength of the tides, Try as you might it’s no fight or debate. It happens so quick—The Change, opened eyes. But if you are willing, your heart open wide, You can find your true self, dream and create. When it comes don’t be scared, something births, something dies. Just let it all happen, just lose your pride; Your ship cannot sail with such heavy weight. It happens so quick—The Change, opened eyes. When it comes don’t be scared, something births, something dies.
